FAQ

Apart from being delicious, they are an essential part of a balanced diet. Nuts and seeds are packed with the nutrients your body needs to get through the day.
They contain a wide variety of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and phytochemicals. The fact that different nuts and seeds come from different trees means they all have a unique combination of nutrients.
These incredible gifts from nature also contain essential fats that our bodies cannot make on their own. Nuts have a low GI effect, slowing the release of energy from carbohydrate foods, so they keep you feeling fuller for longer. So, not only do nuts taste great when snacking, cooking and baking, they also help you maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Where possible, Lucky’s nuts and seeds are sourced from highly respected Australian orchards and farms. In fact, Lucky Almonds are all grown under the Australian sun in our very own almond orchards located in the picturesque Sunraysia, Riverina and Riverland regions. When we can’t source products locally, we search the globe to ensure the nuts and seeds come from growers that share our commitment to high quality and sustainability.
Lucky is an award-winning and very proud Australian company with a strong heritage of quality since the 1950s. We are committed to excellence and developing new products that make your “Lucky” experience tasty and enjoyable.

Because some nuts are not grown in Australia or are not grown in big enough quantities to meet our requirements, we have to source them from high quality and respected growers around the world. Lucky Californian Walnuts come from America, Lucky Brazil Nuts come from Brazil and Bolivia, and Lucky Cashews mainly come from Vietnam.
All of the suppliers are regularly appraised and monitored to meet our stringent quality requirements, as we strive to always deliver the finest quality nuts to our customers.
Lucky nuts are packed at our factory in Thomastown, Melbourne, Victoria, except for our Lucky 6 packs, which are packed at a facility in Braeside, Melbourne.
Both facilities have HACCP and WQA accreditations and other globally recognised food safety and quality standards.
Lucky regularly donates products to support various local events, fundraisers and charities.
Lucky is also a supporter of Foodbank and is a signatory to the Australian Packaging Covenant.
We are happy to answer any questions you may have about nuts in general or our products. Another place to head to find more information about all matters relating to nuts and health is the Nuts For Life website.
